| Design at NLA is a team effort. We believe
the resulting design for a project is derived from a process
that includes sensitivity to the environment, an understanding
of the site, a well thought-out program, and most importantly,
participation by the client in the design process. We believe
the design process directs the formulation of the project.
Projects are initiated with a round table discussion on the
general nature of the building type and then setting goals
for the project. Throughout this entire process the client
is involved. The next step is the charette or workshop process
to work through preliminary schemes. NLA feels client involvement
is crucial to a successful project.
