Mike Corrick, AIA

As past chairman of the East Bay Chapter American Institute of Architects Project Management Seminars, Mike's expertise in project management enables him to effectively plan, organize and coordinate the efforts of the project team, consultants and client. With strong communication, analytical and conceptual capabilities, he brings to each project considerable effectiveness at problem solving and proficiency at leading multi-disciplinary teams. His broad range of experience includes work with elderly and multi-family housing, commercial and medical office buildings, retail centers, healthcare facilities, government projects and interior improvements. This varied background has provided him with a thorough knowledge of all phases of the project delivery process with construction documentation and construction administration being areas of exceptional strength. Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Institute of Architects, Central Valley Chapter.

 

 
     

Brian Maytum, AIA
Chairman

Brian has over 20 years of professional experience in the planning, design and construction of public sector architecture. He has spent over 15 years with NLA, focusing his expertise on the Firm's K-12 and Higher Education markets. As leader of NLA's education team, Brian brings a unique sensitivity to his work through his knowledge of school planning, programming and design. Additionally, he has an extensive background in facility assessment and the design and delivery of complicated modernization projects.

Brian has gained a notable reputation for providing quality client service and developing innovative solutions to complex problems. He maintains a strong interest in sustainable design and environmentally sensitive design solutions. Brian is active in several school facility organizations including the Coalition for Adequate School Housing (CASH), and The Council for Education Facility Planners International (CEFPI).

 

 
     
John Flath John Flath, AIA
Secretary

John Flath, Principal-in-Charge for Healthcare has over 21 years of healthcare design experience and over 17 years of experience managing a design build healthcare A&E team. John’s expertise in the hospital and medical office building planning, design and construction coupled with his thorough understanding of the design and review process enable him to manage projects that achieve overall client satisfaction with respect to schedule, budget and design relevance.

John's technical knowledge and ability to speak the language of medical practitioners in the specialty areas of radiology, radiation therapy, surgery and dialysis enable the firm to take on highly technical design projects. As the architect of record for over 200 OSHPD projects and as many outpatient projects, John has the experience to see projects to a successful conclusion.

John is active with the AIA Academy of Architecture for Healthcare (AAH) Central Valley Chapter and served as the Chairman for two years in 2003-2004.
